Julien Loubet (Marseille 13-KTM) won Paris-Camembert ahead of his breakaway companion Pierrick Fedrigo (Bretagne-Séché Environnement) while Anthony Geslin finished eighth for the FDJ team. Once again, as in the Route Adélie, the team had done everything to win.
"The FDJ riders did a sensational job, respecting the plan we made this morning," sports director Franck Pineau said. "And again, we helped blow the race to pieeces. After the third passage of the finish line in Vimoutiers, the field was together and we did everything to make it hard 40 kilometers from the finish. There were four good climbs, Voeckler (Europcar) and a few others attacked but failed to get clear. Finally Arthur Vichot and Laurent Pichon were in a group of 7 riders. The peloton was 40 seconds behind and it looked good.
There remained only one problem, the Cote de Crouttes with a 17% section. Laurent Pichon suffered from cramps and Vichot was 100m from joining Loubet and Fedrigo.
"Arthur was the most disappointed and although he can be really satisfied with his return to competition after three weeks of training, I understand it. He has been in the mix twice in three days but he lacks something that he needs to find before the Ardennes classics. I can't blame him and his teammates."
