Vincenzo Nibali is one of the main favorite for the win at the Vuelta a Espana. But the Astana Pro Team leader explained during the press conference that he has no idea of the details of the route. But the Sicilian added he was in the same case in 2010.
"I don’t know the road book, just like in 2010. Not a bit, and I’m not worried about it. I’m confident because I finished the Tour de France in good form and my feelings were good while I was training at Sestriere. Knowing the route is important, sure, but it's better to live day by day", Nibali told according to Cyclingnews.
During the winter, he did not choice to ride the Vuelta a Espana this year. But after a mixed Tour de France (he finished 4th place overall), he said he would like to finish this season with a great performance in Spain. "The Vuelta wasn’t on my programme initially, but together with the team, we decided to come here. I had a lot of pressure at the Tour but here it’s a lot calmer."
