It has been revealed that the sixth and penultimate stage of the Volta a Catalunya will finish in Reus, in the hinterland of Tarragona where the airport of the Mediterranean city is located. 

The finish in Reus excludes the possibility of a mountain stage before the last stage with the classic finish in Barcelona on Sunday. 

The route of the ninety-seventh edition of the race is now almost completed. All that is missing is the finish of the fourth stage. Chris Froome (Team Sky) has already announced that he will be at the start. The presence of Alberto Contador (Trek) is also planned.

Tuesday, March 21 - Stage 2: Team time trial in Banyoles (Pla de L'Estany) 
Wednesday, March 22 - Stage 3: Mataro - La Molina (Alp) (mountaintop finish)

Friday, March 24 - Stage 5: Valls - Lo Port (Tortosa) (summit finish - 10km at 9.7%)
Saturday, March 25 - Stage 6: Tortosa - Reus 
Sunday, March 26 - Stage 7: Barcelona – Barcelona

In 2016, Daniel Martin won at the top of La Molina while Nairo Quintana won the overall.
