The Monuments Milan-San Remo, Tour of Flanders, Liège-Bastogne-Liège and Giro di Lombardia, the Tour de France and the Road World Championships - in 2015 Paul Voss did all the major races for which his team was invited. "My goals were selections for the Tour and the Worlds. I did both. Hence, my season balance is very positive," the Bora-Argon 18 rider told radsport-news.com.
However, Voss was unable to achieve any significant results and so he added. "Of course, I have liked to do better. Especially the Tour de France was disappointing." Just do be at the road World Championships in Richmond was a highlight though.
His best result came in North America. In the Tour of Alberta in Canada, he was with the best for six days and was rewarded with eighth place in the overall standings. In the subsequent two Canadian Worl Tour races, GP Quebec and GP Montreal, the 29-year-old delivered pleasing performances and finished 17th and 30th respectively.
However, the season had a bad end for Voss. On the 2nd stage of the Abu Dhabi Tour, he was disqualified while leading the sprints classification after there was a scuffle between Voss and Federico Zurlo following an intermediate sprint. Speaking to radsport-news.com, Voss taled about a "hasty decision" of the commissaires. However, he also blamed himself "I would have to have controlled myself better."
In 2016, Voss will again ride for Bora-Argon 18. In his fourth year with the team, he has one main goal: "I have the great dream of being at the Olympics. I wil give everything to reach that goal."
