The 2016 Vuelta a Espana will be officially presented on January 9 in Santiago de Compostela. That was announced by organizers Unipublic yesterday.
Much is already known about the Spanish race. It will start in Galicia with five stages. The first stage will take place in Ourense and is likely to be a 28km team time trial. Pontevedra will host the finish of the second stage; the third will link Marin with the steep wall in Ézaro, the fourth will travl between Betanzos and San Andres de Teixido (Cedeira) and the fifth will end in Lugo.
Later the Vuelta is likely to include summit finishes at Lagos de Covadonga and La Camperona and it will feature a time trial in the final week.
