According to the daily AS, the last time trial of the 2017 Vuelta a Espana will take place on Tuesday, September 5 in the third week, will finish in Logroño and will be about forty kilometers long. The start will be given from the neighboring Community of Navarre.
AS speculate that the start could be on the Navarre motor racing circuit, located in Los Arcos, or 35 kilometers from the center of the Rioja capital. This hypothesis is based on the fact that the local newspaper Diario de Navarre has previously claimed that the circuit of Los Arcos will be the start city for one of the stages of La Vuelta. The course is rumoured to be technical.
The last time the Vuelta visited Logroño, it was for an unusual stage: a 21km loop with start and finish in Logroño which was done eight times for a sort of criterium in a grand tour. John Degenkolb took the win.
