Warren Barguil could not show what he was able to do at Paris-Nice. The Giant Alpecin rider crashed at the 4th stage and he was forced to retire. He hit a rider and had to stop on Saturday. 

"I hurt all over. I also feel very tired since my fall. The day after this fall, I had already fought with myself to finish the stage. Unfortunately I had to leave the race the next day", he explained according to Le Télégramme. "I am very very disappointed. I wanted to do well. It's frustrating, I felt really good in the early stages. The day I fell, I think I had a very good condition. The climb of Croix-de-Chaubouret suited me."

The French rider hopes to be present this Monday for the Volta Cyclist a Catalunya.
