Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish retained the lead on Saturday during the fifth night of the Six Days of Ghent. The British duo are one lap ahead of De Ketele – De Pauw and Keisse - Viviani. The race will be decided on Sundy.
The top teams continued their hard fight in the final race, a madison over 25 minutes, on the peultimate night. Cavendish-Wiggins De Pauw-De Ketele were the main protagonists while Keisse-Viviani hung on.
In the finale, the Brits attacked again. De Ketele-De Pauw responded but could not prevent the British pair for gaining a lap with one minute left. Keisse-Viviani took a final lap in no time. In the sprint, Keisse beat Cavendish and so set the scene for an interesting final day.
