With 285 points Mark Cavendish and Bradley Wiggins have ended the fourth day of the Ghent Six as leaders. Kenny De Ketele and Moreno De Pauw are in second place, trailing by one lap. The Belgians still have the most points and ae close to a bonus lap.
The first two days were dominated by Kenny De Ketele and Moreno De Pauw. However, Bradley Wiggins, who has impressed in 't Kuipke, and Mark Cavendish seem to be the prime candidates for overall victory in in the second half.
Kenny De Ketele and Moreno De Pauw have collected 295 points and so just need another five to get a bonus lap. The Belgians had another successful day, with victory in the 500 m time trial and the madison.
Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish tried to take the win at the end of the second madison but were brought back by De Ketele-De Pauw. Shortly after the regrouping, Miles Scotson and Cameron Meyer attacked. Iljo Keisse and Elia Viviani took off in pursuit but did not close the gap.
Wiggins was particularly strong in the derny series.
