Another expert professional who says Mark Cavendish’s goals of Tour de France, Olympics and Worlds are too much is ex teammate Bradley Wiggins. The 2012 Tour winner also says that Chris Froome’s bid to win the Tour and the Olympic Road Race and Time Trial is “doable.”

"I have seen Mark a lot this winter. He has hardly been home since October. I have seen him come and rent an apartment in Manchester and come and train on the track with us every day,” Wiggins told Sky Sports News HQ at the Dubai Tour.

"I admire what he is trying to do, but he has probably taken a bit too much on, really. It remains to be seen whether he can do it all, but if anyone can, it's probably him."

Wiggins says that Cavendish should maybe focus solely on the Olympics, and do a select few road races like Wiggins does with his Team WIGGINS.

Speaking about ex-teammate Froome, Wiggins had a more positive slant on his treble attempt.

"It's possible, because of how close they are together. If he wins the Tour again and has got the condition, then I don't see any reason why not. The winner of the Olympics will come from the Tour de France, so it's doable."
