While part of the team will start this year’s edition of Tour de Pologne, a young CCC team reinforced by few more experience riders will take part in the Prudential RideLondon & Surrey Classic.
"For riders from U23 category who will participate in this event and who are considered for the Polish National team, it will be the final test before the European Championship. The course in the British race is similar to the one in Estonia, where the road race will be held a few days later," Piotr Wadecki, sporting director of CCC Sprandi Polkowice, explains.
"The route should fit fast riders, who are able to stay in the main group on small hills. For that reason Bartłomiej Matysiak will be the leader of the team," he adds.
Prudential RideLondon & Surrey Classic will go through similar places as the Olympic race in 2012. It will feature numerous short, but demanding climbs, such as those in Surrey (the climb will be tackled three times) or in Box Hill. The finish will be located on famous The Mall, which connects Buckingham Palace with Trafalgar Square. The total distance to cover will be 200 kilometers.
The race holds an HC category and the best riders in world are expected to participate. Six UCI WorldTour are going to take part in this one-day event – Team Sky, BMC Racing, Etixx-Quick Step, Lotto-Soudal, Orica-GreenEDGE, Team LottoNL-Jumbo.
Line-up for Prudential RideLondon & Surrey Classic (2.08, 1.HC):
