After not being offered a new contract by Trek-Segafredo, Riccardo Zoidl has confirmed that he will return well to Austria in 2017 with the Felbermayr-Simplon Wels team.
The Austrian climber got his breakthrough in 2013 when he won the Tour of Austria before being hired by Trek. Unfortunately, Zoidl not really confirmed his potential as he only managed to win a national title and a stage this year at the Tour of Croatia during his three seasons at the highest level.
Zoidl will now try to bounce back in the team with which he started in the continental division in 2008.
"I have set a goal for 2017: to win a lot of races, repeat the victory in the Tour of Austria and move the team forward," he announces.
At 28 years of age, Zoidl will be the leader of his training.
