Sam Bennett had to end his successful debut season at NetApp Endura earlier than planned. The 24-year-old Irishman had been scheduled to do both the Münsterland Giro and Paris-Tours but missed both races. Despite the bolstered train, the 40-year-old manager refuses to compare his team to the big sprint squads like Giant-Shimano.
"That would be a bit too much," said the team manager, referring to the two German super sprinters Marcel Kittel and John Degenkolb. "But we do not want to be limited to the sprints. In the stage races we also want to finish as high as possible in the overall standings."
